Progress Reports go home Wednesday, October 4

Reading:  We are reading several stories, including those from our reading series. We will take comprehension tests on Friday.  Our word skills this week are short vowel families, beginning and ending sounds, and rhyming words.  We are working on capitalization and punctuation in writing.

Math: We are working with magnitude and reviewing number order and place value

Science:  We are still focusing on seasons and seasonal changes. Please review the study guides nightly.

Social Studies:  We will spend this week on holidays (President’s Day, Columbus Day, July 4th) and will test these skills along with patriotic symbols

Notes:  Progress reports go home Wednesday, October 4. Simply sign the attached paper and return in the “notes to teacher” section of the red folder. Your child will receive an incentive for returning the paper Thursday.
