Once again, the NRH marching band is preparing for the Holiday Parade Season. All students enrolled in John Yeates Middle School that are enrolled in a band class or take private lessons are invited to participate in the marching band at Nansemond River. The cost to participate for these events is $40 which includes, T-shirt, gloves, spats, Lifetouch picture sitting fee, lunch before the parade, water and Gatorade. Participation in the Holiday Parades is limited to brass, woodwind, and percussion players. *Additional cost for Percussion and Brass players may include a windsuit. Audition is required for the percussion section since instruments are limited. Students must be available to attend all rehearsals which are:
November 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 29 & December 1, 6, and 8, 2011
Performances include:
Norfolk Grand Illumination Parade November 19 @ 5 p.m.
Suffolk Holiday Parade of Lights December 10 @ 5 p.m.
Please fill out the bottom portion of this permission slip and return to Mr. Woodis on November 9, 2011 with a check or money order for $40 made out to Nansemond River High School Band.
