Nansemond River High School Bands

All MMW Band students should be in the band room by 6:30 a.m. on Saturday with their black shoes, white spats, black socks (no ankle socks), shorts and the current years band T shirt.  Auxiliary should have on the appropriate attire to allow their uniform (costumes) to be worn properly. We will be wearing the official uniform.  All students should bring their wind suit jackets and /or hoodies.  Dancers, Flags and Majorettes are to bring their wind suit pants with the jacket.  We will be staying for the football game. (The forecast high temp. is 64 degrees). NO jewelry is allowed to be worn with the uniform. The band handbook has all of the details concerning the uniform. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, VA.  The parade route proceeds East down Virginia Beach Blvd, turns right on Merrimac and right on Corprew Avenue. The reviewing stand is located at the campus police headquarters.  Box lunches will be provided from Subway.  We will be staying for the game (NSU vs NC A & T ).  We will be stopping at Golden Corral for dinner after leaving the game.  Students will not need money for food unless desired.  Students will be permitted to visit the concession stand and vendors with a designated chaperon.  We should be back at Nansemond River by approximately 9  p.m.  Students are required to remain with the band for the entire field trip.
