Students Work to Help Operation Smile Patients

Operation Smile:  “We dream of a world where no child
suffers from lack of access to safe surgery.  That’s why we do everything we do!”

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, students from Mrs. Gay and Mrs. Travis’s classes met with the Women’s Club of Suffolk to make donations for Operation Smile. They partnered to earn community service hours by stuffing more than ten dolls each for the doctors to give to their patients after surgery.  The doctor will draw the face on the doll, and the doll is given to the patient to keep – these children often have no toys of any kind to play with.

Check out the Gallery on the front page for all the pictures.
