Because I really am.
Hey guys, this is your Super Safety and Drive Coach Mandy again here to give everyone a big thanks!
First off, I want to give thanks to the people that supported us in the stands, and this includes 3168 AND 540! You guys really made Dylan, Megan, Morris and I really pumped and excited before driving.
Also I want to give a special shout out to Meher! She helped me scout out a few teams and showed me how to talk to teams that were going to be in our alliance in upcoming matches to see what technique and positions the bot should be in. Thanks!
Elliot, Thomas, Brent, Charlie, Camden and who ever else held the Safety Button in the pits while I was gone, thanks so much! We got about 29 safety tokens if I remember correctly and for that, I am very grateful. GO SAFETY YEAH!
I’d like to REALLY thank Megan, Dylan and Morris for doing a great job out on the playing field. Megan showed that she has an excellent handle on the controls when it comes to defense. Dylan pretty much “drove it like he stole it” but with lots of skill and advanced maneuverability. Morris was a great human player and probably in the top 10, he quickly grabbed and transported the balls where needed and when he handled the trident, he did it flawlessly. Awesome job out there guys!
Mrs.Wendt REALLY needs a big thanks after we dragged her to regionals with us. The first night she played laser tag with us and kicked butt! She also took everyone out for breaks during the competition and kept people alive when they were about to die of exhaustion. Mrs.Went put up with our silly, inappropriate but hilarious jokes. THANKS FOR TAGGING ALONG MRS.WENDT!
Bri and Jordan, you guys did great when it came to spirit! You really helped the team out a lot when it came to that and I think the whole drive team thanks you guys for it because when you’re out there cheering us on while we’re on that playing field, it really makes a difference in how we do. And when you’re cheering? We do GREAT.
Shotgun… just keep doing what you’re doing.
Deric, you’re a great team captain and it’s great being apart of your team! AWESOME JOB DUDE!
Matt Schubert! You really helped out the electrical and programing team as well as everyone else. You told us a bit about the regionals and what to expect when we get there. You live a little ways away from NRHS and yet you still traveled down to meet with us. Thanks Schube, we really appreciate your efforts and help!
Karl with a K! You helped out our programming team a whole lot during the season. Without you, we wouldn’t have ranked 30th (if I remember correctly) out of 64 teams. Thanks, man!
Kirby, you’re help with our electrical team helped us a bunch. A robot has many layers that make a difference in performance and electrical is one of the big ones! Seriously, Thank you for your help!
Sporn, thanks for making an unforgettable first impression on our team! (sorry that was a big part in the history of 3168) You got our spirits up during build season and helped us out with a few electrical difficulties before we shipped the bot. Thanks, dude!
H&R, you guys have a wonderful team and should be proud. They helped us out quite a bit during build season and so have you guys! R, you came to our school before kickoff to give us tips and what to expect during build season and that helped us out a TON. H, you really helped us out quite a bit with your vast knowledge of robotics. Thank you for inviting us for Kickoff and Shipping!
Alright, now it’s time for the big one: THE TREES!
You guys REALLY helped us thrive through build season and are GREAT mentors of this team.
Mrs Dawn Rountree, you really taught us a lot about team work, spirit and what it takes to be a Rookie Allstar. I’m glad you got us involved in FIRST and I’m glad you put up with us over build season.
Mr Nathan Rountree, you taught us about how everything works when it came to materials on the bot, tools that were used and how hilariously awesome you are at drawing.
You guys donated a LOT of your time into this robotics team and I would like you to know we all understand that with out you guys we would have gotten no where.Trees, you both showed us a positive can-do attitude through the build season and the competition.
THANK YOU MAMATREE! THANK YOU MANTREE!
MR. McLEMORE! We love you! You’re a wonderful princiPAL and we are seriously glad you think so high of robotics. Without your wonderful support to this team, we wouldn’t have gotten very far. THANK YOU MR.McLEMORE!!!
Oh and WE WERE AWARDED ROOKIE ALLSTAR! WE’RE GOING TO WORLDS! I’M EXCITED! THANKS CAMDEN FOR WRITING THAT WONDERFUL PAPER! THANKS TEAM FOR BEING SO AWESOME.
540&3168 Friends for lyfe.
