DSC_02501Congratulations Kenya Latham, Varsity Basketball player, a nominee for the Duke Automotive – Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week!

Kenya showed that the Norfolk Scope Arena stage was not too big for him. Though the Cavaliers finished with a 1-2 record, including a narrow overtime loss, he shined particularly on Monday against Tallwood High School. Despite the 67-58 loss, he repeatedly kept his team in it, finishing with 20 points, tied for the game-high, to go with five assists and five boards.

DSC_0777Congratulations Tra Revell, Varsity Football player, a nominee for the Duke Automotive – Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week!

Even against No. 1-seeded, undefeated host Lake Taylor High School in Friday night’s playoff game, Tra continued to be a key part of a Cavaliers’ secondary that Cavs coach Bryan Potts has had consistently high confidence in this year. Despite Lakeland’s 28-0 loss, Revell came up with an interception to cap off his strong season.
