Math (STEM) could make you a perfect fit for BLAST!
BLAST participants are immersed in the college campus
experience for 3 exciting summer days packed with STEM
activities and demonstrations led by university faculty.
BLAST will ignite your curiosity and give you insight about
what a career in STEM is like.
Qualifications needed:
• Currently in 8th or 9th grade
• C+ or better grade average
BLAST is FREE of charge for students who are selected to
participate. Transportation to and from the university is the
responsibility of each family.
The program is a partnership between the Virginia Space
Grant Consortium, Old Dominion University, the University
of Virginia, Virginia Tech and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
