Suggestions Discussed at Principals’ Meeting

At the November 15 principals’ meeting, our customer service initiative was discussed. Department heads and central office administrators also attend these meetings. They reviewed the notes from the Nov. 2 small group discussions. They also discussed their chapter reading assignment from “Who Cares?: Improving Public Schools Through Relationships and Customer Service.” Ideas under consideration include piloting voicemail options at one school to direct callers to guidance, athletics/activities, or the main office. Providing office staff with SOFA access to the afternoon bus updates was also noted. By the way, administrators laughed at the audio clip of the school answering machine “funny.”

Principals have provided a list of office employees who will be given access to SOFA’s daily bus updates. Technology will be making that connection soon, and we’ll notify those individuals once it is available.
