Here are the last few pics from our End of the Year Celebrations. Thanks to all of my parents for support throughout this year! To my four rising 6th graders, ConGRADulations, continue to show all you know in your new school! To all my students, I wish you more “WOW” than “WHOA” this summer! I can’t believe we are only 12 days away from ending this academic school year!!!! It has been a blast! We all have had many significant moments of triumph, progress and growth! I am thoroughly humbled and honored to be the proud recipient of these Gr8 G8trs! They have been “MARVEL”ous SUPERheroes all year!!!! Please check bookbags and notebags for information coming home in the next few days about end of the year celebrations, invitations and permission slips! Please join us as you can for the next few events to help us close out the year and celebrate four of our students that will be moving on to Middle School next year! Have an AWESOME SUMMER VACATION!
It’s really hard to believe that we only have about 33 more days left of this academic school year!!!! WOW! Our 3rd – 5th graders have completed and submitted their VAAP assessments this week! Our routines will change soon due to SOL testing schedules. We will not have resource during this time. At times, we may not have outdoor recess. We will make adequate provisions to accommodate for this within our classroom! We are in the home stretch, please continue to help monitor student behavior by checking their daily communication notebook!

We have had an amazing start to our Spring Season! We made Oobleck for Dr. Seuss’ birthday. We had a cooking trip to finish our measurement math unit! Our picture made the front page of the Suffolk News Herald on March 23!!!! Our chefs looked so good on the cover! They learned how to follow recipes and measure out ingredients to make Pizza Pretzels with Cheese and Cupcakes, YUM!!!
We are watching the life cycle of a ladybug and butterfly evolve in our classroom! The students have returned from a wonderful Spring break and we are ready to finish up our school year as strong as we started it!
We have survived the first 100 days of school!!!!!! We are close to finishing up all of our VAAP Portfolios. Our students are working hard and demonstrating growth academically, behaviorally and socially each day! We are looking forward to being done with VAAP assessments before Spring Break! This month, we will be studying measurements and the life cycle of a ladybug, frog and butterfly to finish up our portfolios! Thank you so much for your continued support and teamwork!
