 13 Sept – varsity football game  – 5 person Color Guard  ( 1.5 hours CSE) and 6 Event Staff (3.5 hours CSE).

20 Sept:  POW/MIA Chair of Honor (14 cadets participated in the Chair of Honor Dedication). 2.5 hours CSE).

27 Sept – varsity football game  – 5 person Color Guard  ( 1.5 hours CSE each) and 6 Event Staff (3.5 hours CSE each).

28 SeptHampton Roads Suicide Prevention gathering. 5 person Color Guard  ( 1.5 hours CSE each) for (6) Event Staff (3.0 hours CS each).

12 Oct – 5 person color guard – Tidewater FBLA Conference (1.5 hours CS each).

18 Oct –  varsity football game – Color Guard (5) and Event Staff (6).

25 Oct –  varsity football game.  Color Guard (5), Event Staff (6)

(14 – 26) Oct – Cadet Coat Drive ( 7 coats for Honor Flight and 1 hour CSE). We collected 450 coats. Our goal was 856 Coats (7 coats per cadet).

19 Oct – Driver Days Parade (Sat)- 2 hours CSE. 35 cadets marched in this parade, our first of the year.  1.5 CSE hours each

25 Oct – Round 1 of CyberPatriot. Our 6 member team scored 194 of 300 points possible.

2 Nov – St Mary’s Veteran’s Ceremony. A five ember Color Guard “presented the Colors at this local community event. 1.5 CSE hours each.

2 Nov – Honor Flight: 22 cadets honored WWII, Korean, and Vietnam vets  in a 4:30 am sendoff to Washington DC. 1.5 CSE hours each.

4 Nov – St Mary’s Color Guard – 5 member team for veteran’s Day

15-17 Nov – Round 2 of CyberPatriot 6 member team scored 120 of 300. (Lee, Cunanan, Fortner, C. Bradshaw, )

8 Nov:  Varsity football game color guard and event staff

9 Nov: We shattered our goal of 1,150 items in our canned food Drive (~4,600 items collected).

9 Nov: Cadet Veteran’s Day formation. 125 cadets formed up in the hallway then proceeded to the front of school for a “Presentation of the Colors.”

9 Nov: Four Color Guard members “Presented the Colors” at the Bickford Senior Assisted Living Center in front of 40-50 senior citizens.

30 Nov: Basketball game Color Guard and event staff.

20 November: Red Cross Blood Drive. The RC goal was 30 pints. 37 donors attempted to donate and the RC collected 27 pints.  12 cadets donated and received 1.5 CS hours each.

16 November: Christmas tree Lot setup (Saturday).  42 cadets participated in this annual event.

8 December: 54 cadets participated in the Suffolk Christmas Parade. (2.5 hours CSE each)

14 December: Boys basketball Color Guard (5 member team).

15 December:  Wreathes Across America (Saturday) – 46 cadets participated (2.5  hours each). 2 cadets also participated in closing wreath laying ceremonies with Adm of Navy’s East Coast fleet & Congressmen Bobbie Scott.(2 hours each).

                       20 Dec – 5 Jan: Winter Break

January 14: Red Cross Blood Drive (#2). RC goal was 31 pints. Collected 27 pints. 15 cadets donated at least 1 pint (1.5 hours CSE each).

Jan – Feb: 6 Color Guard presentation of the colors during varsity Basketball games.

11  Feb: Annual  field trip to the Virginia War Museum. D, E, & F Flights only. 58  of 62 cadets participated.

29 Feb (Saturday) Cleanup of East Suffolk Recreation Center, Suffolk VA.  32 cadets helped cleared out raised gardens, added compost, and raked in new mulch on the grounds of the center. (2 hrs awarded to each cadet).

1 Feb – 30 March: H2O for Life! This years goal is to raise $3415 toward a fresh water well and bathrooms at a Secondary School in Malawi, Africa.

12 March: NRHS AFJROTC Field Day.

26 March: Upperclass field trip to the Military Aviation Museum.  

28 March. Spartyka 5K support (Saturday).  48 cadets helped out on Saturday.  +700 runners raised money for our wounded warriors. Each cadet earned 5 hours of CS

4 April (Saturday) Military Ball, Dry Dock Club.

April ?? Recruiting Team & drill exhibition (Middle Schools).

April (Saturday). Cadets will paint the parking lot.

21 April (Saturday): XX Cadets participated in the VFW sponsored  Bataan Death March Memorial HikeChesapeake Bataan 16.6 miles. Began promptly at 7 am. Takes ~5 hours to walk.

1 May (Fri): Awards Ceremony and Change of Group Command.

16 May (Saturday): SPS AFJROTC Field Day.  Lakeland HS.

26 Apr (Thurs):  “HONOR FLIGHT!”CIA field trip to XXXXXXXX

22-26 June: Cadet Leadership School (CLC).  12 Cadets will attend this highly competitive event. Cadets arrive Monday at 0800hrs at Menchville High School. After forming into flights, PT test and lunch, they will go to Langley AFB for the remainder of camp.  Four High Schools participated in this cadet run program. Cadets experience a light version of military “boot camp;” waking up at 04:45, marching, drilling, and competing in group activities. Highlights include the Fort Eustis Army Base obstacle course and shadowing an Air Force Airmen.  Closing ceremonies at Menchville HS on Friday at 1100 hrs.
