LDR – Drill

The 2019 Tidewater Drill meet rules are HERE! December 14th (8 am – 1 pm), Great Bridge High School. Teams that can compete: Color Guard, Armed (Rifle) Exhibition, Unarmed Exhibition, Armed Regulation, Unarmed Regulation, Inspection Team, Basic Team (JROTC I cadets only), Individual Knockout (Basics & Advanced) 


Cadets are required to demonstrate proficiency in drill by their second year of AFJROTC experience. In particular, the 30-command drill performance (seen below) is a required element of all formal external unit evaluations, and will be led and accomplished by second year cadets (9 or more cadets).

DRILL PRACTICE:  Cadets practice with (and/or without) rifles.  All cadets are eligible to try out for Drill team.

Practices are planned for Tuesdays/Thursdays after school 3:05 – 4:30 pm beginning mid-September.  Cadets must carpool, drive or have a parent/guardian pick them up at 4:30!
