I am a native of Barlow, Ohio. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY (1990). I hold a Master of Science in Business Organizational Management from the University of LaVerne (1994) and a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University (2000).
I spent over twenty years in the Army, serving as an officer in the aviation community, and then as a military analyst. As an aviator, I served with the 6th Infantry Division (Light) in Fort Wainwright, AK, and then with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in Fort Campbell, KY. I spent four years as an assistant professor teaching mathematics and engineering mechanics at the United States Air Force Academy, CO. As a military analyst, I served with TRADOC Analysis Center in White Sands Missile Range, NM, and U.S. Joint Forces Command in Suffolk, VA.
After retiring in 2010, I began teaching mathematics at Kings Fork High School, and serve as an adjunct professor at Paul D. Camp Community College and American Military University. I am active with Main Street United Methodist Church and serve as the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 1. I have been married for nearly twenty-five years and have two grown sons, both of whom graduated from King’s Fork High School.
