Graded Papers, Etc. Coming Home Today!

Just a quick note to let all parents know that I have sent graded papers home in communication folders today.  Inside you will find all kinds of assignments we have completed recently.  You may also find Accelerated Math assignments.  These are labeled Exercise, Practice, or Test.  Most of these assignments are NOT taken for actual grades in the gradebooks.  We are using Accelerated Math as an additional tool to help us excel in math and continue practicing skills we have learned throughout the year.  If you see that your child struggled on a particular assignment or skill, please review the problems with them.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me!  Thank you for all that you do!

Behavior Plan–UPDATED!

Hello parents and students!

Just a reminder of our classroom behavior plan.  We have re-implemented use of our dollar chart system and we will be using this for the remainder of the school year.

**Each student begins the day/week with $5 (5-$1.00 bills!)  It is their goal to have $5 in their chart at 2:30 on Fridays for a special treat!

Throughout the school day, if misbehavior continues after a warning, students will begin to lose their behavior dollars.  Each dollar has a consequence:

$1 lost = warning only

$2 lost = 10 minutes recess time lost

$3 lost = Silent Lunch + 10 minutes recess lost

$4 lost= SOS (note home to be signed by a parent) and/or phone call home, Silent Lunch, + 10 minutes recess lost

$5 = Referral to the office

It is imperative that you speak with your child about our classroom plan and remind them daily to make good behavior choices.  The behavior in our classroom has been very good and we would like to continue this throughout the rest of the school year.

Thank you for your assistance and support!

Mrs. Ream :)

Mrs. Ream’s Blog is Back!!

Hello parents and students!  I wanted to try out a blog, again, to see if this would be another effective means of communication with you for the remainder of the school year.

Check back here often for updates and happenings in our classroom.  I will post homework, spelling words, and helpful links you can use at home to support what we are doing in the classroom.

Happy Reading & Exploring!
