Welcome to a new year of exciting teaching and learning. It is my esteem pleasure to return to the Nansemond Parkway ES Braves as their Academic Coach for the third year.
As I begin my 13th year in education, I bring a varied background of experience that spans from Kindergarten to 12th grade as well as one year as an Academic Coach. I obtained my undergraduate degree in K-6 Education and English from UNC at Wilmington, my endorsement in Gifted Education from the College of William and Mary, and my masters degree in Education & Human Development from the George Washington University. Beyond the classroom, I am also an adjunct faculty member at Cambridge College where I teach an instructional strategies graduate course for teachers. I have a deep passion for all aspects of teaching and learning, particularly professional development for educators.
Personally, I have a wide variety of interests that included reading, writing, sports, the arts, crime TV, movies, entertaining at home and gourmet cooking. I am the proud aunt of two nephews and a niece. I also own a precious American Shorthaired cat named Nikki.
Again, I am very excited to be serving as NPES’s Academic Coach and am looking forward to another great year with Suffolk Public Schools.

Our fourth graders are now doing SOL 4.5. Can you email me the activity, “Survival Island” or the VAST password? I would love to demonstrate this to a group of my teachers next week.
