Algebra—-Square and Cube Roots

Algebra students will review how to find the square root of a number by using the calculator. They will be introduced to terminology using the cube and cube roots. Emphasis will be placed on rules of squares and cubes and using the calculator correctly. 

The next topic of discussion will be inverse variations. They will be asked to write the equation of inverse variation and identify the constant is needed. They should also be able to discuss the difference between direct and inverse variation.

Circle Unit

Geometry students have started discussing how to find the circumference and area of a circle. They will also learn how to find the area of a sector and the arc  length as well as use the circle equation. It is important to review the formulas nightly since there will be formulas quizzes administered daily during April.
