Blocks 1, 3, and 5: Homework

Uncategorized No Comments »

We reviewed parts of speech very hard today.  We went over a worksheet as a group and then we got into the pairs to complete a similar one.

We then went over the worksheet answers for a class work grade.

B1 also completed their prepositions quiz.

B3 and B5 took notes on sentence parts.

We discussed our narrative essays and I collected them from B1.  After looking at the numerous formatting errors, I decided not to collect them from B3 and B5.  They have until Thursday to correct their errors and get these turned back in.

I will return the ungraded papers for B1 on Thursday and give you until Monday to revise.  If you would like to pick your essay up early, please see me.  Also, I had a number of students in B1 who did not have this TEST ESSAY!  I noted in Parent Connection if you did not have turn it in.  I am not going to take off points UNLESS I do not see evidence of an essay on THURSDAY!  You can thank me then!

HOMEWORK:

Complete essay.

Review for parts of speech test.

Do pages 27 and 28 in the grammar workbook–this will help you to review!

Blocks 4 and 6: Homework

Uncategorized No Comments »

On Monday, we focused mostly on grammar. We finished up the unit on parts of speech.

We held a competition to see who knew the most prepositions. The top 3 grammar gods earned 100 calorie snack packs (per the wellness policy).

Blocks 4 and 6 completed the quiz.

All blocks worked on identifying adverbs with 2 class work grades.

We concluded by discussing the narrative essay and how to complete it.

I checked for the outlines as a homework grade.

Homework:

Everyone: complete the narrative essay. More instructions are in an earlier post.

Good luck! I am looking forward to reading about your future! Remember to be specific and detailed.
