Week 38

This week you have no homework!

Tomorrow you will begin to craft a writing reflecting on fifth grade.  What have you learned?  How have you changed?  How have you grown?  What was your favorite part?  What was your least favorite part?  Two writings will be chosen and blended together to be read by two students at next week’s Fifth Grade Farewell.  The writings will not necessarily be read by the authors.

This week you will complete your Fifty States and Capitals game.  You will also start working on some End of the Year Task Cards (when you are finished with all of your assigned and graded work!).

All missing work must be turned in by the end of this week (Friday, June 8, 2018).

We will read the nonfiction StoryWorks selection The Boy Who Fought Hitler and you will take a test based on the selection.  This will be your last reading grade of this fourth nine weeks.

Thursday, June 7, 2018, is the last day for A. R., so we will work to finish Bridge to Terabithia so that all students can hopefully take a test on the novel.

Our farewell practice will start on Friday, June 8, 2018, and we will finish practicing for this next Tuesday, June 12, 2018.  The Farewell is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. next Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Paper copies of the information sheet on the Farewell as well as the Chick-Fil-A order form will be sent home tomorrow, Monday, June 4, 2018.
