Solo work permission form
Dear Parent:
Several students have asked to be considered for solos in upcoming chorus performances. I consider this an extra responsibility, and I am therefore offering to work with these students after school for private voice coaching/lessons.
I will need parent permission for these sessions and assurance that the student will have a ride home.
The days I anticipate being available for help after school (though subject to change and you would be notified) are as follows:
September: 25, 27
October: 2, 4, 23, 25, 30
November: 1, 20, 27, 29
Please choose the dates that you would allow your child to participate in this after school activity. You may also indicate a best time for you to pick up your child. Once I get a list of interested students with permission, I will determine a schedule and confirm that with you.
Please understand that solo work is not a requirement and will not affect grades, per se. Solos are limited and will be awarded based upon the specific need of each piece. Singing talent and/or skill are not the only factors to be considered in selecting soloists, and availability for after school work, will not necessarily mean that a solo will be offered.
