3rd Nine Weeks Math Midpoint objectives

The 3rd nine weeks midpoint is fast approaching! The following is a list of all the objectives that will be tested on the midpoint:

-common multiples and factors

-add/subtract decimals

-measurement: weight (oz, lb, ton) conversions

-patterns and functions

-line geometry

-polygons

-organize and interpret data (graphs)

-compare, order, and represent fractions

-measurement: length (in, ft, yd, miles and mm, cm, m, and km) conversions

**PLEASE make sure your child has memorized the length conversion equations. They will have to convert between them on the test, but the equations will NOT be given to them. So if they don’t have them memorized they will have an extremely hard time converting. These equations were given to them on Monday, 2/11.

The weekly review sheets that have been coming home each night have a lot of look alike questions. However, they are just a small portion of what your child will see on the benchmark. PLEASE take time between now and the midpoint to review all of these topics with your child. For additional resources please check out Ms. John’s blog (linked to the right on this page) and Study Island. Your help at home is greatly appreciated.
