Many of you have written some very insightful comments about the benefits of recycling. I’ve been very impressed! I’ve been impressed with how you have processed and expressed the impact of implementing or not implementing recycling programs. In your comments I have seen a common thread of sincere interest in having some sort of recycling efforts happen at KFHS.
You have expressed interest from an ethical point of view … “we just should be doing this because it’s the right thing to do.”
You have expressed interest from an educated point of view … “this makes sense to recycle because to keep burying all our trash is creating problems that will not go away.”
You have expressed interest from a passionate point of view … “just think of all the paper, bottles and cans that are thrown away every day at KFHS.”
It’s one thing to say that something “SHOULD” be done, but it’s another to take action based on one’s convictions. Taking action requires leadership, responsibility, conviction, participation, etc!!!
So, let’s see what you have to say about walking the talk …
IF we had legit recycling bins in our room (B118) … what issues/problems would have to be worked out in order to make recycling “work” in our classroom?
