Block 6 wrote a reflection to a quote in their journal …
Block 6 - completed lecture notes on Unit 5 - Cell Theory
Block 7 - reviewed previous test material (50 True/False on Unit 7 = Cell Transport) by writing each of the 50 statements, copying the true statements and writing with corrections the false statements. This material WILL be covered again along with the material from Unit 5 = Cell Theory.
Both classes have a homework assignment. (pg 47 in their Unit 5 packet.)

Read through the information about the current “regional landfill” and respond to the information provided.

Note: How many “dumping stations” feed garbage into the site? What happens to the various ‘garbage’ products? How large is this landfill? How is it lined? etc, etc, etc!
If you could interview the director of the SPSA … what question(s) would you ask him/her?

Let’s hear your thoughts and reflections on these two articles. Ask your parents, if they lived in Suffolk at the time, if they remember the City of Suffolk finding toxic wastes at the site and needing to participate in the clean-up efforts.
