We have made it half way through the second grade year! One of the teachers on our second grade team has opted out of flexible reading groups. Because of this, your child’s reading teacher may have changed. Please check your child’s agenda on Monday afternoon to see who their reading teacher is.

Homework Policy

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jamey Brown at 8:02 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018

As you may know, Suffolk Public Schools changed its homework policy effective January 2nd. We are now required to send no more than 20 minutes of physical homework per night. This does not include reading. We are going to continue to send the same homework, but ask that you stop your child after 20 minutes and write a note to your child’s teacher on your child’s homework so that we can see how much they can do within the time limit. If you would like for your child to complete their homework, that is completely up to you. Please continue to have your child read or read to/with your child every night. Also, please continue to use the blog and provided notes to study with your child.
