Mrs. Crystal Whitley is a National Board Certified Counselor, licensed in Virginia and North Carolina.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s in Education, having previously taught 8th and 9th grade English, 11th and 12th grade psychology, worked as a college counselor and currently as an elementary school counselor. 

She is Vice-President of the Western Tidewater Counselor’s Association and serves on the awards committee for the Virginia Counselor’s Association.  She would like to eventually earn her doctorate, teach college level counseling courses and work privately as an art therapist.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, reading, music and painting with acrylics.  An avid fan of the arts, Mrs. Whitley enjoys movies, poetry, literature, theatre, visiting museums, and virtually anything creative!
