bring in your textbooks…so you won’t be billed lots and lots of money (and so I’ll feel like my students are responsible
AND
return anything you may have borrowed or accidentally taken home… like school copies of Lord of the Flies, or one of my journal pictures, or my Julius Caesar shortcut books…or anything else!
Work on your essay (bring pre-writing and a rough draft) and get a good night’s sleep before your exam. Those are the best things you can do to prepare. The definitions from the Powerpoint warm-ups will help you, too, so you can bring them if I’ve passed them back to you. Most of the test is reading comprehension.
…oh, and if you don’t want your copy of Lord of the Flies, I’ll give you extra credit if you give it to me. Keep it if you want it, but it would be helpful for us to have a few extra next year.
Congratulations; you’re almost finished!

If you look to the page labeled “LotF links”, you will see that I have put up links to online summaries that you can fill in for the second half of the book. Print out your grade and bring it to me and I’ll enter it for you. (I’ll try to get the columns made for these in GradeSpeed tomorrow.) This should help some of you out a bit, eh?
Keep in mind, also, that the last assignment that you will have to do on Lord of the Flies will be to write a five paragraph essay addressing the theme of the novel.
