In case you think that because third quarter grades are closed you don’t need to get Lord of the Flies, please know that YOU STILL NEED IT.  I will doubly reward those who got the book when first asked hopefully motivate the rest of you to buy/check out/borrow (from one of my students from last year) a copy by adding this to the gradebook (again) for fourth quarter.

 Let me reapeat…

YOU NEED A COPY OF Lord of the Flies by William Golding.  The other option is to stay after school to finish any reading/classwork that you are unable to finish in class.  Not terribly convenient really…

Each student will be expected to keep up to date with the reading!  We’ll start reading LotF in about a week when we finish Julius Caesar

Act IV questions  Read Act IV of Julius Caesar and answer the attached questions for class on Friday/Monday (4/11,14).  It’s ok for you to reference Sparknotes or some similar resource for help, but be sure that you have read and can discuss the actual text.

You have been put in charge of giving one thousand dollar ($1000) donation to a charity.  To what organization would you give the money?  Explain why you made this decision.

Be sure that you discuss the purpose of the charity and why it is important to you.  Address why you think that this charity is worthy of the donation and what would likely be done with the money.  Be sure to include introductory and concluding paragraphs.  If it is of excellent quality, one body paragraph will be acceptable, but three body paragraphs is a good goal.

Bring your prewrite (and preferably your rough draft) as well as your completed test review with you next class.

 Enjoy your weekend!
