All performances are given preparation by every member of the performing ensemble.  Each member of the orchestra should make every effort to be present at all rehearsals and performances.  This is a graded class and your participation and performance counts toward graduation.  Rehearsal time is similar to research time and the research will never be as thorough if parts are missing. Your make-up written assignment is due one week from the performance date.

Directions: Written report one of the following 10 composers:  Johann Sebastian Bach,  Claude Debussy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,  Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Ralph Vaughan-Williams,  Aaron Copland, Igor Stravinsky, Peter Tchaikovsky, or  Antonin Dvorak.  Your paper should be typed, single-spaced, no less than 500 words (HS) 250 words (MS) and list all of your references. In addition you should include some of the composer’s music listened to while completing your research.

In addition to the local stores, Angelico Violins, DnD Music and Music and Art, there are also  3 recommended online websites—for new strings, instruments, bows, cases, music stands, music books, sheet music, rosin, tuners, etc. and you may call with any questions as well, and a team of experts will help you and guarantee satisfaction with your purchases.
