Please join us this year for the Elementary Gifted Open House! Come learn about the QUEST program and meet all of the Elementary Gifted Resource teachers.
Open House will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00pm at King’s Fork MIDDLE School.
Information regarding this event is also being sent home this week with your child — on their QUEST pull-out day.

Students in the QUEST program will begin push-in and pull-out services this week!!! A welcome letter is being sent home, along with a green parent contact information sheet. Parents, please fill out the green sheet and have your child return to me as soon as possible.
*If your child writes the meaning of QUEST on the back of the green parent contact info sheet, they will receive a prize!*

Just wanted to post some important information about the
Elementary Gifted Program!
QUEST (Quality Utilization Enrichment of Students’ Talents)
is now for students in grades 3 – 8.
Testing for the QUEST Program
All 2nd graders in Suffolk Public Schools
are screened in Spring for the gifted program.
Also, any student in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade can be nominated to be tested during one of our 3 testing sessions throughout the school year.
Services Provided by the Gifted Resource Teacher
1st grade – GRT will push into every class and work with all students once per nine weeks.
2nd grade – GRT will push into every class and work with all students twice per nine weeks.
3rd, 4th, 5th – GRT will provide services to QUEST students
pull-out session (1 time per week) 60-90 minutes
push-in session(1 time per week) 40 minutes
