February 29 – March 4

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!  We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday by having a school wide door decorating contest.  We will also have all kinds of fun activities in class on Wednesday.  The cafeteria will be serving green eggs and ham!

Please continue to study sight words.  It is so helpful to a student’s reading when they know sight words!  It makes reading much less frustrating when they can quickly read over sight words and spend their energy ‘sounding out’ unfamiliar words.  Most sight words can’t be ‘sounded out’.  This is the reason they are called sight words!  :)
