The math homework for the first week of December is to choose one column from their menu and complete the assigned problems from their math textbook, which is already at home.

This should create some more freedom for the students as they will have a choice as to what to do.

Attached to this page is a word document that has notes from the first 9 weeks that could be useful if a students notebook is lost, misplaced, or at school. Feel free to look at.

As we are quickly entering November and trying to get work in with the shortened weeks, I wanted everyone to be aware of how important learning and committing to memory the multiplication facts is. We have started creating the flash cards in class and have completed through the 5 times tables. Please encourage your children to commit the facts to memory as best as possible. We will be drilling on a weekly basis.

Let me first say HAPPY FRIDAY!

We are quickly winding down the first 9 weeks, and I wanted to let you know of important dates that are quickly approaching.

1 – Field trip is next Friday, please make sure students are here by 7:15, we are leaving at 7:30 so we can have the most of the day. Please check the weather so that students can be comfortable during the day.

2 – Math 9 weeks test is going to be given on the 29^th and 30^th. I am able to break the test up into 2 days so that we can minimize stress and longevity.

3 – Science benchmark test will be November 5^th, that is the day after election day, so please make sure students are spending time studying on their day off

4 – Social Studies Benchmark will be Friday November 7^th, we will be reviewing in both classes to maximize their scores.
