About me
Welcome to my JYMS blog. This site will help you keep up with your English class, and what is going on at John Yeates. I have been a teacher for six years, and started out at Lakeland High School, where I taught 9th and 10th grade. I’ve been at JYMS for four years. Prior to teaching, I was a paralegal for thirteen years. I have a BA (Bachelor of Arts) from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, which is where I grew up (Henrico County, to be exact, but am originally from New Jersey.) I am slowly working on my masters (because I really do like taking classes!) it is a slow process, because I am married, and have four children (two who live with me, and two step children) and two cats. My son, Ben, is a 9th grader at NRHS, and is on the JV football team. My daughter, Hannah, is in 6th grade at JYMS.
I look forward to getting to know all of you, and having a successful 2008-2009 school year!
