Supplies
Students need pencils, crayons, glue, and a glue sticks, even thought we don’t use the glue sticks daily.
Reading Log-Parents please sign the reading log every school night.
Signed Folder = Every Tuesday a folder goes home with papers from the week before, please sign the folder and return to school every week. Please keep the papers in the folder. If your child earns a grade of D or F, he or she will need to bring the paper back to school signed so that I know you have seen the grade.
Agendas
Students need to copy homework daily, and bring them to me to be signed off. Parents please sign agendas at home. Sometimes, there are notes I write along with the signing of the agenda.
Progress Reports
Progress Reports will go home on the following dates: October 6, 2008, December 15, 2008, March 4, 2009, and May 13, 2009. Please sign and return to the teacher.
Report Cards
Report cards will go home on the following dates: November 4, 2008 (Parent Teacher Conference Day); February 6, 2009 (Parent Teacher Conference Day); April 10, 2008, and June 12, 2009.
Handbook
Students took home a handbook of rules and regulations for Driver Elementary School.
SOL test dates: May 18, 19, 20, 21, and May 22.
Field trip On December 5, 2008, we will go to Va. Living Museum.
Snack time/Water bottles- please continue to send in snack for our fun Friday. You may send in fruit or other snacks we can have at school. Please make sure children change their plastic water bottles after a couple of days.
Winter party- If you would like to help with the winter party, please email me at myrkee@spsk12.net
We could use pencils, stickers, erasers and small prizes for rewards for being good as well. I have some good children, and I would like to reward them from time to time.
