The color for January is blue. Students are asked to wear something blue each Wednesday.

The Big Blast Party is Tuesday, January 8th. Only students that sold 5 or more items will attend.

We are working with the skill part-whole relationship. Some students are experiencing difficulty. Please review this as well as high frequency words.

Also, please review class rules.

I trust that you all had a great winter break. Mine was quite peaceful. It is that time again. Time to get busy!

I hope you all enjoyed the Holiday Performance. The students did a fantastic job.

Cookies with Santa Family Night Engagement event will be Tuesday, December 18, at 6:30.

Winter Break will begin Friday, December 21. School will resume January 2, 2019.

The Holiday Program will be Thursday, December 13th.

Interim reports will be distributed Thursday, December 13th also.

The Winter Coat Drive sponsored by Suffolk Christian Church is still going on. Please donate any gently used or new coat if at all possible. All sizes are needed from kids to adults.

Please continue to complete activities on homework menu and Reading Eggs.

Hello,

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I have been out of school for the past week and I wanted to thank you again for the treats that were sent in for the Fall Festival.

The color for the month of December is red. Students should wear red each Wednesday in December.

The Salvation Army Food Drive and Toys for Tots sponsored by NPES Student Council will take place from Dec.3-7. The Winter Coat Drive sponsored by Suffolk Christian Church will take place from Dec.3-20. Please make every effort to donate to those who are less fortunate.

The Holiday Performance for grades K-3 will be held at NRHS December 13. More info to come.

December study guides have been placed in the folders. Please review and complete suggested activities. Also, remember to complete lessons on Reading Eggs.

Hello,

I would like to thank you all for coming out to Parent/Teacher Conference. I enjoyed speaking with you.

The color for the month of November is yellow to recognize being thankful which should be worn each Wednesday.

November 21st, will be early dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 1:15. There will be no school Thursday and Friday, November 22 & 23 for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Student Recognition Assemblies will be November 27th, at 2:00 for K-2. Parents are invited.

I would like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday.

Hello,

I would like to thank you for your donations to United Way. The students really enjoyed the activities.

There will be no school for students Tuesday, November 6th. School will resume November 7th. Also, there will be no school Monday, November 12th, in honor of Veterans Day.

Picture make-up Day will be November 15th.

Parent/Teacher conference will be November 16th.

The November study guide will be coming home. Please review high frequency words and all other skills taught.

Remember to complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Hello,

Trick or Truck Night is Tuesday, October 10th at NPES. If you are looking for something fun to do please come out from 6:00-7:30.

October 29- November 2 is United Way Spirit Week. The activities are as follows:

Monday-Crazy Hat Day

Tuesday-Twin Day

Wednesday-Book/Character Day (No Mask)

Thursday-Mismatch/Crazy Hair Day

Friday-Green & Gold Spirit Day & Dance.

In order to participate $400 must be paid by Monday, October 29. No money will be accepted after November 1

Also, October 29-November 2, is the last week of the first grading period. Please continue to practice and review skills taught especially writing first and last name correctly, writing letters and numbers, and high frequency words. Remember to complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Hello,

I would like to thank all grandparents that came out for Grandparent’s Week. The students were glad you came to share that special time with them.

Thanks to all of you who supported the fall fundraiser. It will be very helpful to our school and beneficial to our classrooms as well.

The book fair will be here until Friday, October 26.

The end of the first nine weeks is approaching. Please review skills taught: letters, sounds, beginning, sounds, writing first and last name correctly, patterns, identifying numbers 0-10, counting sets to 10, counting forward to at least 20, recognizing the American flag, Pledge of Allegiance, leader of our country, sequencing by size and personal information.

PALS testing will be administered this week (Monday and Tuesday).

Please continue to complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Thanks to the parents who came out for Title 1 Night.

The fall fundraiser ends Monday, October 15th.

Grandparents’ Week is October 15-19. Please come out to eat with your child or grandchild.
