Hello,

Thanks to all of you who came out for Read a Lot Night. The students seemed to have enjoyed themselves and so did I.

Tuesday, March 14th, the fourth and fifth graders will be presenting “A Tribute to Motown and Others.”. This is a show you will not want to miss. The students have worked really hard to put on a great performance.

This week we will continue to discuss author/illustrator, concept of word, high frequency words, spell CVC words, read and understand fictional text. The students will  identify objects in ordinal positions (1st-10th) and  also terms such as: near/far, above/below, left/right, behind/in front of, over/under, in/out and fast/slow. Students will recognize maps and globes as well as locate land and water features.

Please remember to complete Reading Eggs activities and play the sight word games.

Thank you,

C. Boone
