I hope you all enjoyed the snow days last week. I really did and looking for more!

As you know last week was a short week so homework assignments will be due this Friday, January 20th.

We will complete PALS testing Tuesday, January 17th.

This week we work with vowel sounds, high frequency words, concept of word, review letters and sounds, practice writing first and last name on lined paper and label pictures. Students will predict unseen members in patterns, count forward to at least 50, count backwards from 10 and recognize numbers 0-30 as well as compare things from past and present.

Please remember to review high frequency words and complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope you all had an enjoyable and safe winter break.

Well it’s time to get back into the swing of things. This week we will review letters and sounds, recognize and generate words that rhyme, identify high frequency words, make predictions using fiction and nonfiction text, and complete  concept of word (COW) activities. We will identify instruments used for measuring (ruler, scale, calendar, clock, thermometer). We will also use common objects to measure mass and volume.

Please remember to review high frequency words and complete Reading Eggs activities daily.

Thank you,

C. Boone
