Hello,

I hope you all enjoyed you three day weekend.

There will be no more written homework assignments after this week. Please review skills taught.

This week students will identify words that rhyme,  recognize and read words in isolation (COW), identify high frequency words, ask and answer 5 W questions, write phonetically, continue with fractions, extend, name. and create patterns.

Our schedule may be interrupted due to practicing for the End of the Year program.

Hello,

The kindergarten classes will have their End of the Year picnic Wednesday, June 15th  at 12:30.

The End of the Year Awards ceremony will be Thursday, June 16th, at 10:00.

This week we will: discuss facts about Memorial Day, expand vocabulary using adjective, recognize  high frequency words, participate in concept of word activities, write phonetically, and identify regions with fourths and halves (fractions).

Parents, please remind students that school is not over yet and rules must continue to be followed.

Thank you for sending in drinks for Field Day. The students had a great time.

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be involved in SOL testing this week.

This week we will review synonyms and work with antonyms, COW, high frequency words, read for comprehension, continue with tally marks and recognize facts about Betsy Ross.

Dates to Remember:

Early Start Closing Ceremony: Wednesday, June 15th @ 10:30 a.m.

Kindergarten Completion Ceremony: Thursday, June 16th @ 10:00 a.m.

Grades 1-4 Student Recognition Assembly: Thursday, June 16th @ 2:10 p.m.

5th Grade Completion Ceremony: Friday, June 17th @ 10:00 a.m.

Hello,

The students enjoyed the play, “Aladdin” last week. It was a great performance.

May 9-13th, is School Spirit Week. Please adhere to the flyer previously sent home.

Field Day will be Tuesday, May 10th. Please watch the weather and dress your child accordingly. Remember students are to wear navy blue t-shirts.

Kindergarten students will be involved in PALS testing this week.

Skills for this week are: identifying synonyms, COW, writing phonetically, recognizing high frequency words, identifying patterns in nature and tallying.
