Hello,

Family Reading Night is Tuesday, February 2nd,  at 6:30.

Students will be introduced to new high frequency words this week. Also, a list of high frequency words for the year has been placed in the front of their homework notebook. You may go ahead and work on all of the words for the rest of the year as well as review previously words taught. When or if  a students has learned at least 90 words they will be allowed to participate in AR. Students will read and test on the text for comprehension.

Please have your child watch the news early Tuesday morning, Groundhog Day. We will make predictions as to whether the groundhog saw his shadow Monday, February 1st, and wait for results.

Thank you,

C. Boone

Hello,

The new year has begun and the students seemed to be doing well.

School will be closed Monday, January 18th, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School will resume Tuesday, January 19th.

Students are required to complete at least three assignments from the homework menu. At this time of the year students should be completing more than three. Please keep in mind this is to reinforce skills taught.

Thank you,
