Another wonderful day in kindergarten…

The students will be involved in Map testing this week. Please make sure they are well rested. PALS will be administered May 6th & 7th.

This week we will count a collection of pennies and nickels, investigate and understand the life process of animals, identify and write words that rhyme, and continue to write phonetically. Please continue to work on high frequency words.

Tuesday, May 6th, is Math and Science Night. Please plan to attend.

Thursday, May 8th, is Field Day. Kindergarten students are asked to wear blue shirts and sneakers.

I trust that you all had a safe and enjoyable spring break. Well it is time to get back into the swing of things.

This week we will be identifying words that rhyme, writing phonetically to answers questions in complete sentences, listening to stories and determining if the books are fiction or nonfiction, and recognizing high frequency words. We will continue working with subtraction and begin to discuss Earth Day and recycling.

Report cards will be distributed on Friday, April 25th.

School will be closed April 14-18, 2014 for Spring Break. It will resume April 21st.

NPES P.T.A. meeting will be Tuesday, April 8th, at 6:30. The third, fourth, and fifth grade will be performing.

This week we will continue to work on high frequency words, spelling words, welded sounds, concept of word, subtraction, living and nonliving things.

A few items were requested last week. If it is at all possible please send in tissues, glue sticks and baby wipes. It will be greatly appreciated.

Again, school will be closed next week. Please have a safe and enjoyable spring break.
