Hello,

I hope you all the fathers and daughters enjoyed the dance Tuesday night. I heard it was really great.

Interim reports will be distributed  Monday, March 4th.

School will be closed Tuesday, March 5th for students.

This week we will continue to read and discuss stories, spell and write CVC words, discuss digraphs, write phonetically, review high frequency words, and participate in COW (concept of word) activities, Students will solve single step picture problems (addition) and complete activities involving  solid, liquid and gases.

Hello,

The Father/Daughter Dance will be Tuesday, February 19th, at 6:30.

Thank you for supporting the Suffolk Education Foundation. The students enjoyed participating in  favorite jersey day, crazy hat day, crazy sock day as well as the dance. Your donations will be used to support the students in Suffolk Public Students.

This week students will be discussing facts about famous African Americans. Please have your child  share facts with you. Also, practice counting forward to at least to 75 and count sets up to 20. Students should be able to identify the beginning, middle, and end of stories, spell CVC words and write simple sentences phonetically. Don’t forget to complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Hello,

NPES Student Council is raising money to support the Suffolk Education Foundation. Please make a donation of $4.00 and your child will be able to participate in all of the activities planned for the week. Please see flyer sent home previously for details. The dance will be Thursday, February 14th.

The Father/Daughter Dance will be Thursday night, February 14th. Please return forms if you plan to attend.

Friday, February 15th, is Parent/Teacher conference day. If you would like to schedule a conference you should return the conference slip with a time requested that is convenient for you. I will try to accommodate  you all. I look forward to conferencing with you.

School will be closed Monday, February 18th, in honor of President’s Day.

Remember to complete activities on Reading Eggs and also the study guide.

Hello,

The colors for the month of February is red and pink for “Kindness, Love and Friendship”. One or both colors should be worn each Wednesday.

Family Reading Night is Tuesday, February 5th, at 6:30.

PBIS Braves Behaving Celebration will take place Friday, February 8th.

Second Nine Weeks Recognition Assembly will take place Wednesday, February 13th,  for K-2 at 2:00-2:30.

NPES yearbooks are on sale until March 29th. Please refer to the flyer previously sent home.

Valentines are being sold by the NPES Student Council  for $1.00 Thursday, February 7, through Thursday, February 14th, to support the Suffolk Education Foundation (SEF). Valentines will be delivered to the students.

The third nine weeks has just begun. Please adhere to the new study guide for skills being taught.

Hello,

School will be dismissed Monday and Tuesday, January 28-29, at 1:15.

NPES Student Council will be selling Valentines from Thursday, February 7th, through Thursday 14th. The cost is $100. All proceeds will support the Suffolk Education Foundation.

The colors for the month of February are pink  and red. Students are asked to wear either color each Wednesday for the month.

I would like to thank you for all of the prayers you offered for my husband who has been ill. He is doing better however, he is still in the hospital. Hopefully he will be discharged early this week.

Please continue to work on skills requested on the study guide. A new one will be coming soon. Don’t forget to complete activities on Reading Eggs.

Hello,

Family Reading Night is Tuesday, January 22, from 6:30 t0 7:30. I hope you can attend.

Thursday and Friday are half days. School will be dismissed at 1:15.

Please review school and classroom rules with your child. Some of the students seem to have forgotten how to follow them. Misbehaving could cause students not to receive a Braves Award at the end of the nine weeks which if quickly approaching.

Remember to complete activities on Reading Eggs and follow activities on the study guide.

Hello,

Just a reminder, students are to wear blue each Wednesday for the month of January in honor of “New Year, New You!

School will be closed Monday, January 21st, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

January 22nd, is Family Reading Night from 6:30 -7:30. Please come out and join us!

The end of the 2nd nine weeks is approaching. Please review skill taught using the study guides for  November, December and January.

The Big Blast Party is Tuesday, January 8th. Only students that sold 5 or more items will attend.

We are working with the skill part-whole relationship. Some students are experiencing difficulty. Please review this as well as high frequency words.

Hello,

I hope you all enjoyed the Holiday Performance. The students did a fantastic job.

Cookies with Santa Family Night Engagement event will be Tuesday, December 18, at 6:30.

Winter Break will begin Friday, December 21. School will resume January 2, 2019.
