Hello,

The color for the month is red. Please have your child wear red each Wednesday in the month of December.

NPES is collecting can goods and coats for all ages. If you can please make a donation.

The Holiday Program is tomorrow night, December 10th, at Kings Fork High School. It will begin at 6:30. Please have your child there by 6:15. It will be very difficult to put them on the stage after the program have started.

Interim reports will be distributed Wednesday, December 11th.

Homework menus were placed in folders. Please continue to practice sight words and writing phonetically.

Hello,

I hope you all had a happy and safe Thanksgiving.

The color for the month of December is red to recognize the act of giving.

The Winter Coat sponsored by Suffolk Christian Church will be from December 2-13. All sizes are needed (infants to adults).

Deck the Halls Family Engagement Night will be Thursday, December 5, at 6:30.

The NPES Holiday Performance will be at Kings Fork High School Tuesday, December 10, at 6:30. Please return permission slips if you haven’t already done so.

Homework menus will be place in folders as soon as they arrive from the print shop. Please continue to review all skills taught by completing activities on the menu. Also, don’t forget about Reading Eggs.

Hello, The color for the month of November is yellow in honor of being thankful. Students are asked to wear yellow each Wednesday for the month.

The Students Recognition Award Ceremony is Monday, November 25th, at 2:00.

School will be dismissed at 1:15, Wednesday, November 27th. There will be no school November 28-29th, in honor of the Thanksgiving holidays.

I would like to wish you a Happy and safe Thanksgiving along with safe travels as well.

Friday, November 8th, NPES had an assembly to honor our veterans. There is a very nice article in the newspaper. Please take some time to read it.

Students are asked to wear yellow each Wednesday in the month of November in honor of being thankful.

Thursday, November 24th, is Picture Make-Up Day.

Friday, November 15th, is Parent/Teacher Conference. There will be no school for students.

Please remember to complete activities on Reading Eggs and the homework menu.

I hope you all enjoyed coming out for Truck or Treat Night. The students were very excited about it.

The color for the month of November is yellow to recognize that we are thankful.

School will be closed Tuesday, November 8th for students. Also, school will be closed Monday, November 11th, for Veterans Day and Friday, November 15th for Parent/Teacher Conference. Please return forms so a conference can be scheduled.

Fall Picture Make Up Day is Thursday, November 14.

Just a Reminder:

The United Way Spirit Week is October 28–November. Monday – Pajama Day (robes and pajamas) Students must wear shoes Tuesday –Honky Tonk Day – country wear Wednesday – College Spirit Day (college wear. Thursday – Hawaiian Day Friday –Color War Day: Kindergarten students should wear yellow. Also, Friday is the United Way Dance. Students must pay $4.00 in order to attend by Thursday, October 30th. Money will not be accepted the day of the dance.

Truck of Treat will be Wednesday, October 30, at 6:30.

The Book Fair will end Friday, November 1st.

This is the last week of the first grading period. Please review skills taught, especially sight words. Testing and retesting will be completed by Friday, November 1st.

Hello,

Students are asked to wear orange each Wednesday for the month of October for anti-bullying month.

The Book Fair is coming! It will begin Thursday, October 24th and end November 1st.

The students will be involved in PALS testing this week.

Please continue to review skills taught. The end of the first nine weeks is approaching. Students should practice writing first/ last name and letters correctly, identify letters taught, identify high frequency words, recognize numbers 0-15, count sets through 10, identify and extend patterns, recognize American icons, and sequence objects by size.

Hello,

Students are encouraged to wear green each Wednesday for the month of September to recognize Good Manners month.

NPES Fundraiser Kick-Off will begin Monday, September 23rd. Please check your child’s backpack for more information.

Please continue to review class rules as well as rules for the cafeteria.

This week students will identify letters and sounds, recognize beginning sounds, write first and last name correctly, identify high frequency words, choral read poems/ short decodable stories and recognize words that rhyme. Students will also identify numbers 1-10 and count sets for each as well as recognize the season as fall.

The color for the month of September is green. Students are encouraged to wear green to represent good manners.

Homework menus have been placed in the back of your child’s behavior folder. Please complete the requested assignments to reinforce skills taught.

This week students will write first and last name correctly, recognize letters T, F, B, N, C, M and the sound for each, recognize beginning sounds, identify words that rhyme, choral read poems and short stories, identify and extend patterns as well as make observations about objects.

Please continue to review class rules. Also, please check backpacks and behavior folders for important papers sent home.

Hello,

Thank you all so much for sending in requested items as well as special gifts for me.

It was a good first week of school. Students are adjusting and I am looking forward to our regular schedule this week.

We will be identifying letters, sounds, rhyming words, sight words, choral reading and tracking a poem, recognizing, describing and tracing shapes and practicing good citizenship. Please continue to review class rules.
