Shultzland up close

So just who am I?

I am a child of the 70’s. I graduated from Meadville Area Senior High in 1978; we were proud Red and Black Bulldogs! I sang in the Chamber Choir, and Concert Choir. I also played in the pep band, jazz band, marching band, and concert band. So I’m mediocre in music. I also competed on the Forensics team, and participated in Model UN, and the International Relations Club.

I am a 1982 graduate of Clarion State College, which became a university the very next semester!  We were proud blue and gold Eagles. I sang in the choir for a semester, but gave it up, but stuck with band Band all 4 years.

I married my college sweetie soon after graduation. Steve and I are from rival high schools, but met in college and were in the band together.

We (meaning Steve) joined the Air Force and have lived in (in order) Pa, NC, IL (Champain-Urbana area), NY, ND, IL (again - this time very south- across the river from St. Louis), England;,  where I taught middle school, NM, and have retired here to Suffolk.

Our older son, Andy, was born in North Carolina, is a proud tar heel, and attends Western Carolina University as a Business Marketing major.

Our younger son, Casey, was born in Plattsburgh, NY- just south of Montreal, and is a 2008 graduate of KFHS. He’s currently working on his Associate’s degree in Computer Modeling and Simulation at TCC, with an eye towards landing an internship somewhere and attending ODU to complete his last 2 years of college for his Bachelor’s degree.

I also earned a black belt in Tang Soo Do, and am currently working towards earning a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I also love to read, read, read, and read some more. I like arts and crafts activities, music, the whole Myst-Riven - and succeeding computer game series as well as Star Craft. (I’ve actually worn out our original game!)

Our family loves to travel and courtesy of the USAF we have been fortunate enough to have toured through several European countries, both on the continent as well as their Island territories.

We have 2 very spoiled bassett mix dogs, who are pushy, opinionated and loved to pieces.
