There are many changes that occur during the fourth grade year. Children go from work sheets that require little higher level thinking to masters of their own education. Sometimes this is a bit painful. It always requires hard work. Often parents are concerned at the amount of knowledge and work the students are asked to memorize and complete. Homework is in the form of study and practice, but is absolutely necessary. With all of us working together our children will become the independent learners we desire by springtime.
