11.23.20 – AP Exams – The following information was sent from SPS School Administrative Office: The decision to eliminate SPS exams does not affect the student’s ability to take the AP exams in May 2021. Students will receive information on AP exam registration and fess in December 2020. They will be asked to submit their registration and fee payments by the end of January 2021. Just like in previous years, if a student chooses to take (and pays for) the AP exam, they will be able to take the exam.
The College Board stated at the beginning of the school year that they plan to move forward with face-to-face exams in May 2021. As long as the College Board offers face-to-face exams in May, our students who register for those exams will have an opportunity to take them.

Cohort 2023: It is time to begin identifying classes for next year. Please check your email on Friday, 10.23.20 for an email from me. The email will contain a link for a Google Form. The Google Form will ask your name, student ID, cohort & grade, and preferred method of contact for us to communicate to complete your course request. Virtual Learning Schedules https://www.spsk12.net/fall_learning_plan/virtual_learning_schedules
The virtual learning schedules below provide information on the general times allotted for online learning. Teachers will provide a weekly schedule, in Canvas, of the days and times they will be in ‘live’ or synchronous instruction. Teachers will also provide advanced schedules of small group instruction and one-to-one meetings with students. While encouraged, your child IS NOT REQUIRED to be engaged live in front of the computer during these times.
For parents who may not be able to work with this schedule, please keep in mind that all teaching sessions will be recorded and viewable in Canvas for two weeks. When class is not ‘live’ students will have classwork assignments and activities to complete by scheduled due dates. This allows families to work around their schedules and still gives students the opportunity to receive instruction.
High School Schedule https://www.spsk12.net/fall_learning_plan
Classes will be held between the designated hours, but live sessions do not have to last for a full 45 minutes. This is the time designated for students and teachers of that block/course.
