Week of October 8th

Important Information:

Our Title 1 Night will be held tomorrow, October 9th starting at 6:00 with the selling of Chick-fil-a for $5 (cash only please)

Our Farm Day Field trip is on Wednesday, October 10th. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also please remember to bring a lunch and a towel to sit on.

Picture Day will be on Friday, October 12th. Please have your students bring in their money at that time.

Important Information:

We have kicked off our Fall Fundraiser. Selling dates are Sept. 24- Oct. 15, 2018. If selling items, please turn in money on Oct. 15th.

Title 1 School Night is October 9th at 6:30 pm. Chick-fil-a will be selling dinner for $5.00 which includes a sandwich and a drink from 6:00-6:30 pm.

The color for the month of October is Orange for Bullying Prevention.

Progress Reports go home on Thursday, October 4th.

Please send the Farm Day field trip permission slip in by 9-28-18. We will NOT need any parent volunteers due to limited seating on the buses and limited parking at the site.

Please note that we are collecting Boxtops for Education. You can send them in with your student to give to me.

Students will be having a citizenship assessment in social studies this Friday. They have a study guide in their binder (folder in their binder). I will also be sending the study guide electronically.

Welcome to our second grade class at Nansemond Parkway! I know that this year will be full of learning and excitement! Below I have listed our schedule for the year.

I am sending home a packet of forms on the first day of school to be filled out and returned to me as soon as possible if you could not attend Open House. At the beginning of each week, I will email a newsletter which contains the spelling words, homework, and important information for that week, and my blog will also have this information. In addition, the spelling words and homework will be glued into your student’s agenda. Also Nansemond Parkway is collecting Box Top for Education. If you would like to turn in any box tops in, please turn them in to me. I’m looking forward to a great year with you and your student!
