Important Information:

The colors of the month are Red and Pink.  Please encourage students to wear Red or Pink on Wednesdays in February.

Report Cards will go home with students on Monday, February 19th. Parent conferences will be held between Thursday, February 15th and Friday, February 23rd before and after school and during resource times.  Please contact me if you would like a conference.

The Big Blast Party from our fall fundraiser will take place on Monday, February 19th from 2:00-2:50.

Student Recognition Assemblies for the 2nd nine weeks grading period will take place on Tuesday, February 20th at 9:50 a.m. for grades K-2 and 10:30 a.m. for grades 3-5.

Homework for the Week of February 19th:

Reading: Complete sections of reading log. Due Friday. Reading quiz on Friday, February 23rd ( cause and effect, fact and opinion)

Math: Complete sections of homework sheet.

Science: Study and review notes.

Virginia Studies: Study and review VS.7ab notes. VS. 7ab quiz on Friday, February 23rd.

Benchmark Test Dates:

Reading Benchmark: March 21st

Math Benchmark:  March 27th

VA Studies Benchmark: March 29th

Starting Monday, February 5th, 10 minutes will be added to our instructional day. Students will be dismissed at 4:00 p.m.

There will be a performance by the JFKMS Band, Strings and Choir on Monday, February 12th for students in grades 3-5. The assembly will start at 10:00 a.m.
